Thomas O’Halloran was killed in Greenford, west London, at 4pm on Tuesday. He is believed to have traveled about 75 meters on the scooter in search of help after he was stabbed. Officers responded and provided emergency aid until the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance arrived, but the local pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene. Police urgently want to identify this man they called a ‘dangerous person’ (Metropolitan Police) Detectives from the Met’s Special Crime Squad are leading the investigation and have released images of a man they want to urgently identify....

Armed police arrested Lee Byer, 44, at a house on Allenby Road, Southall, west London, at around 1.30am on Thursday. Byer appeared at Willesden magistrates’ court this morning amid tight security wearing grey prison-issue tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt, with a sweater tied around his waist. He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and that he was of no fixed abode....
